According to UN statistics, global resource usage has increased more than threefold since 1970. The overuse of resources and the resulting environmental impacts must be faced globally. In 2015, the United Nations proposed the 12th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): "Responsible Consumption and Production," to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. Effectively promoting resource circulation has become an international management trend.
To align with the government’s push for resource circulation, save natural resource use, and promote resource recycling toward a zero-waste vision, Sunlit has implemented a circular economy strategy formulated by the ESG Sustainable Development Committee in 2023. This strategy focuses on green design, resource-based production, recycling and reuse of waste resources, and the recycling and recirculation of products after consumption, in line with the spirit of production, consumption, recycling, and circulation.
Under the guidelines of Sunlit’s ESG sustainable management strategy and SDGs principles, we promote circular economy practices. This includes implementing green design, resource-based production, recycling and reuse of waste resources, and the recycling and recirculation of products after consumption.
We also develop both internal and external circular economies: internally, we promote the circulation of raw materials, production processes, products, and pollution emissions; externally, we collaborate with raw/non-raw material suppliers, customers, partner enterprises, and other factories to utilize unwanted (waste) resources such as by-products, waste materials, waste gases, wastewater, waste energy, and waste packaging for mutual benefit, achieving a circular use of resources.
